Take a look below at our services that we offer here at Raprig Design Ltd:
All of the drawings that we produce will fully comply with the most current Eurocodes, British Standards and all associated Regulations and Guidance. We constantly aim to keep up to date with all industry standards ensuring that all your design needs are met.
We believe that all designs should be precise and produced in full colour to enable you to construct the structure without any doubt. We include all scaffold fittings as standard so that the level of detail we include is a true reflection of what you will build.
All design drawings that we produce will be issued with supporting calculations, we adopt the standardised method from TG20:13 using partial safety factors for loads and resistance, similar to the BS 5973:1993 Permissible Stress Design approach.
All of our calculations take into account loads on the structure such as, Wind and Snow loads, Live and Dead loads. Calculations are produced using a combination of Microsoft Programs and Beam Analysis software.
For more complex structures we also have available to us structural analysis software, which enables us to assess structures under various load conditions, this can be done in either 2D or 3D with all structural members, nodes and supports analysed. Furthermore, this allows us to analyse the complete structure as a whole.
As you and we know far too well the scope of works that are carried out can change “at the drop of a hat”. For this reason, you may well end up with a scaffold that no longer complies with TG20:13. If or when this happens, we can produce an as built design with supporting calculations, which details the configuration of the scaffold. In addition to this we will include within the drawing any elements to be installed to ensure that the scaffold is structurally sound and meets all current standards.
If the structure is deemed to be structurally sound, we can simply provide you with supporting calculations.
BS 5975 Table 1 requires if any structure is deemed complex, then an independent design check should be carried out. At Raprig we can offer you a Category 3 check which fully complies with Network rails standards, F001, F002 and F003, as well as other client standards and protocols that you may need. Alternatively should you need to have a complex design checked in accordance with BS 5975, we can also meet your requirements in most cases. In all cases we will provide you with a full set of calculations and a check certificate, to confirm that an independent check has been carried out.
Should you be carrying out a Category 3 check on one of our designs, we will supply you with a full design package in order for you to obtain an independent set of calculations and a check certificate.
Due to our vast experience and knowledge within the scaffold industry we are able to offer a wide range of on-site advice, whether this is carrying out a statutory 7-day scaffold inspection, or handover inspections. We can also attend site to ascertain information for a future project or offer advice on the feasibility of the proposed work. Rest assured that if you require a site visit from us, you will get technical and practical advice from a design engineer with over 15 years in the scaffolding industry, who holds both advanced scaffolder and inspection cards.
A designer’s risk assessment will be produced in accordance with the Construction, Design and Management Regulations 2015. We will identify all residual risks and clearly identify and state these within the design, which will enable you to manage these risks on site.
This is often required that for a complex structure, where it is important to either erect, modify or dismantle the structure in a specific sequence. At Raprig we can offer a bespoke methodology to ensure that the structure is constructed to the exact process in which it has been designed, reducing or eliminating entirely any potential risk to health and safety.
